Over the past 5 years I've been working with numerous real estate developers in the New York and Connecticut areas. Majority of the time we come in before a building is actually built to create lifestyle imagery of the area. These images are then using for marketing material for the building. The goal is to establish compelling images that sell the area, but in the most natural form. We've taken portraits of local yoga instructors or cycling shop owners. Things that can connect someone to an area and make them feel at home. This is a unique approach that the developers appreciate and see a great benefit from. Below are some images from past shoots in New York City and Stamford Connecticut.
Over the past few months I've had the opportunity to work with different clients in Virginia as well as New York and Connecticut for construction photography and other development needs. Some are developers and others builders, but they all need great imagery to represent their work and brand. We work with them to create a image libraries.
I like to look at each project as a story. If you can see the entire project in a timeline of photographs, then you have created something linear. This method also helps to CYA in the most basic way. If you photograph the project from outside in, then you'll see everything.
